Wasim puts KPK in driving seat before Tea on Day 4
KARACHI: Mohammad Waseem Jr picked up three quick wickets to set Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) on top with Northern walking off for Tea at 255-7 on Day 4 of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy final.
Waseem was on charge before Tea as KPK closed at Tea in recent rhythm after they scored 364 runs in the first innings.
Faizan Riaz (30), Mubasir Khan (0), and Rohail Nazir (4) departed off Waseem in quick successions.
Resuming Day 4 at 184-3 after Day 3 was washed out, Northern’s Sarmad Bhatti and Faizan came out on a pretty sunny day. The duo could manage to add 36 runs before Sarmad went out off Sameen Gul after scoring his 11th First-Class fifty.
Faizan got out after scoring 30 off 79 balls. Mohammad Nawaz (19*) and Waqas Ahmed (0*) will resume the innings after Tea with a trail of 119 runs.
Waseem managed three wickets while Sameen and Sajid Khan took two scalps each.
