DUBAI: Pakistan’s captain and the world number one ODI batter – Babar Azam has won the International Cricket Council (ICC) Men’s ODI Player of the Year, here on Monday. In a press release, shared on the official website of the ICC, the cricket council announced Babar as the winner of the Men’s ODI Player of the Year Award. KARACHI: Pakistan Super League’s (PSL) franchise – Multan Sultan’s captain Mohammad Rizwan complained that people needlessly criticized him and Babar Azam for scoring fewer runs while talking to the media on Sunday ahead of the PSL 7. In the presser, Rizwan said that he and Babar play according to the pitch condition but, needlessly get criticized for scoring runs slowly in the power plays. “I (alongside Babar) try to play according to the pitch’s condition. People, on the other hand, do not grasp this and just claim that Babar and I score lesser runs in power-plays,” Rizwan remarked.
